APTI, NSRT join hands to promote research in biotech, APIs from drugs, herbal and nutraceutical

In order to propel Government of India’s Make in India project, the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) has joined hands with Navin Saxena Research and Technology (NSRT) Pvt Ltd to serve as a platform for young scientists and entrepreneurs to bring all research ideas and projects under one roof .

As part of the joint initiative, original research ideas in areas of biotech, CADD and API from drugs, herbal and nutraceutical category are called for screening and evaluation for their further development, scale up and commercialization.  

The selected projects shall be called for presentation and the deserving candidates shall be awarded at the NSRT Idea Hunt to be held in Mumbai or Kandla. The event will be hosted by NSRT Pvt. Ltd and APTI.

Says Dr. Richa Dayaramani, vice president, APTI Gujarat, “There is much potential research which gets unnoticed and rests in archives due to non-availability of takers for development and scale up. APTI has a mission to bridge the gap between industry and academia and with this objective. Rajesh Hajela, Director, Rusan Pharma Ltd took the initiative to provide a platform to bring all research ideas and projects under one roof where they can be evaluated for their future prospective for development, scale up and commercialization. Dr. Akarsh Saxena, MD, NRST Pvt. Ltd. has also supported the project with the vision to contribute to the “Make In India” project of the government.”

As a part of the programme, the candidate can also work on his or  her own project for development at the state of art R&D facility of NSRT Pvt. Ltd. at Kandla Special Economic Zone, Kachchh.
