Elate Wellbeing, which provides online emotional counseling and support to people to enhance their mental health, has officially been launched after testing its beta version couple of months back that received a tremendous response.

Entrepreneurs and start-up ignitors Ashutosh Pandey and Apurva Sharma launched this new venture to focus on a wide range of psychological issues affecting people including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, eating disorder, anger management, and mobile/gaming addiction etc.

Speaking about the launch, Ashutosh Pandey, Founder, Elate Wellbeing said, “Elate is a platform trying to bridge the gap between clients and counselors. We have tied up with 20 psychologists with 5 to 20 years experience in handling such issues. We also have an in-house team of psychologists available to talk or chat with people. Online counseling has proven to be as effective as face to face talk therapies. It also tends to be more convenient and affordable. People also feel more comfortable talking online compared to visiting clinics to avoid the stigma attached to mental health issues.”

The brainchild of husband wife due- Ashutosh and Apurva, Elate Wellbeing is a combination of scientifically proven therapies like cognitive behavioural therapy, dynamic therapy etc. The idea is to relieve people from the instantly increasing motivational talk culture that are mostly based on a monologue basis.

“Currently we are focussing on North Indian cities including Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Chandigarh. But we expect to grow multi-fold in the next 6 to 9 months to cover more cities. Interestingly, we are also working with clients from abroad including Singapore and Canada. These are NRIs or Indians moved recently, who prefer to consult an Indian counselor owing to cultural similarity and affordability.” added Ashutosh.

Before its launch, founders have invested close to 12 months in doing in-depth research on emotional issues and best possible therapies available globally.

Before Elate Wellbeing, Ashutosh has created and managed ventures in clean tech and consumer internet space. He has been CEO of Emergent Ventures -one of Asia's leading clean tech and environmental consulting firm, WithMe (a fashion app) and WindForce (a wind technology advisory firm). He has 15 years work experience. He has done MBA from IIM Calcutta and Chemical Engineering from HBTI Kanpur.

Apurva is an entrepreneur who has set up successful lifestyle business. She had also held senior level HR positions in corporate sector for nearly a decade. She is an MBA from KJ Somaiya, Mumbai. Ashutosh has a deep interest in sustainability and climate change.
