Nocca Robotics, founded in 2017 by alumni of IIT Kanpur with an aim to develop robotic solutions for real world problems, is planning to develop affordable high-end ventilators to make the nation self-sufficient in ventilators.

The company is also working on regulatory aspects to export the Noccarc H210 machines and is on track to deploy 400 high flow oxygen therapy devices.

The company is tapping orders from CSR Foundations and is also directly selling to the hospitals through channel partners to achieve this plan of installing high flow oxygen therapy devices.

“With thorough market research and experiential inputs from India’s top doctors and intensivists, Nocca Robotics identified the need to treat COVID-19 at a moderate health condition by high flow oxygen therapy to reduce criticality. To cater to this requirement, Nocca Robotics has launched clinically tested and certified high flow oxygen therapy devices - Noccarc H210 to help India fight COVID-19,” stated Harshit Rathore, CTO, director, Nocca Robotics.

“Before the pandemic, 85 per cent of med-tech equipment demand was dependent on imports. But, due to ban on export of these equipment by other countries, India faced a huge challenge to facilitate the healthcare infrastructure in treating COVID-19 patients. To bridge this gap, Nocca Robotics developed Noccarc V310 ICU ventilator and successfully deployed it in various private and government hospitals across the country,” Rathore added.

Currently, Nocca Robotics has priced Noccarc V310 product at a very low margin to make it affordable for every tier of the society. As compared to other similar products available in the market, Noccarc V310 is priced 40-50% lower.

Rathore further added that the price of imported ventilators is 40-50% higher as compared to the price of Noccarc V310 ICU ventilator.

“The demand for ventilators has increased drastically. In accordance with earlier projections, sales were expected from tier 1 cities. However, with surge in COVID-19 cases, majority of the demand of ventilator is from private healthcare facilities in tier 2 and tier 3 cities,” stated Rathore.

Nocca Robotics was founded in 2017 by alumni of IIT Kanpur with an aim to develop robotic solutions for real world problems. Nocca Robotics primarily started as a company to design and develop robotic solutions for real world problems. Leveraging the skills of machine design, robotics, electronics and cutting edge technologies such as machine learning, Nocca Robotics has developed products for multiple sectors. As on date the company has installations in more than 60 hospitals in India.

Currently, Nocca Robotics has three products in the market, Noccarc A600 and Noccarc S200 are waterless solar panel cleaning robots in cleantech and Noccarc V310; an ICU ventilator in the medical device sector.
