Belagavi District Pharma Distributors and Retail Chemists & district drugs control department donates Covid drugs valued Rs 15 lakh

Belagavi District Pharma Distributors and Retail Chemists in association with the district drugs control department donated medicine for the treatment of Covid-19. The drugs valued at Rs 15 lakh were handed over the Belagavi district administration.

The medicines donated are part of the Covid-19 drug protocol. These are anti viral faviparivir, anti-platelet enoxaparin injection, used to treat blood clots manifested in scores of patients.  Other drugs contributed  by the Belagavi District Pharma Distributors and Retail Chemists included antibiotics,  antipyretics, ivermectin an antiparasitic apart from the immunity boosters, cough syrups, steroid injections, N95 masks, sanitizers worth Rs 15 lakh.

MG Hiremath deputy commissioner of Belagavi district received the Covid-19 medicines Belagavi District Pharma Distributors and Retail Chemists.

The medicines will be used at the Belagavi government hospitals, 16 community health centres and over 100 primary health centres, Raghuram MV assistant drugs controller and general secretaty IPGA, told Pharmabiz.

The collection and donation was led by deputy Drugs Controller Deepak Gaikwaid, drugs control department, Belagavi district and his team.

Further Belagavi District Pharma Distributors and Retail Chemists along with the Belagavi district state drugs control department had also donated medicines that will be utilized across the Covid care centres managed by non-governmental organisations (NGOs) like the RSS and Anjuman-e-Islam committee in Belagavi who are supporting the poor patients battling the deadly coronavirus disease.
