The Mumbai-based Locobuzz's Covid Relief Project has registered about 10,000 unique visitors on its online platform to cater to Covid patients needs since it went live on May 5, 2021. It has about 70,000 + visits on the website, and an estimated average of people spending over 100 seconds on the platform in the course of 2 to 2.5 weeks.

The online platform has collated relevant real-time data from Twitter and presented them in a user-friendly format. This has bridged the gap between those looking for assistance and those supplying it.

Locobuzz is a unified customer experience platform that converges technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, analytics to help brands forge stronger relationships with their customers and increase their lifetime value.

The Covid Relief Project went live during a time where the news was flooded with people and families struggling for basic needs such as food, oxygen, plasma requests and lack of hospital beds. Many countless people were actively seeking help from online communities, mainly Twitter, at least for the urban audiences. Therefore, to answer Covid SOS calls by people in distress, Locobuzz launched a Covid resource website by aggregating crowd-sourced leads on Twitter. https://covid.locobuzz.com/ can be accessed from any mobile handset or computer.

“Our AI-powered algorithms are engineered to assimilate and present crowd-sourced Tweets and leads coming in through various sources and handles. It covers the widest range of geographies and supplies across the country. It provides the latest confirmed leads for oxygen, beds, plasma, medicines and critical supplies for Covid patients. It also provides trends on the supply and demand of these resources which can help NGOs and governments see if the situation on the ground is changing for better or for worse,” informs Vishal Agarwal, co-founder and CEO Locobuzz Solutions.

Individuals looking for assistance can also set notifications to get the latest updates on information on their Twitter accounts. The Covid Relief platform is functional in Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Nagpur, Chennai, Nashik, Lucknow etc., and exploring ways to make it available for non-English speaking audiences too.

“At the early stage of the launch, we were able to reach the 8, 000 user mark in a span of ten days, as it was an extremely difficult period for urban India to get the help they needed at the time, making the timing of this project was very essential.

Although many users originated from India, we had visitors from the US, UK, AUS, SIN, UAE and CAN as well,” explains Shubhi Agarwal, co-founder and COO Locobuzz Solutions
The platform also provides real-time insights to show the rise or drop in demand of the particular resources. This is extremely valuable because governments, NGOs, as they can gauge whether the demand for a particular resource is going up or down.

Locobuzz managed to gain a lot of traction for the Covid Relief Platform through word-of-mouth, mainly. It has put out two-three social media posts on our social media, and also managed to capture the interest of a few news media publications. Many users, individuals and NGOs, celebrities, influencers, media representatives promoted the platform on their own, which was a very humbling moment for the Locobuzz Team.

When it comes to market research and consumer insights, Locobuzz sees the medical space as a very exciting place to be in. There are a lot of myths surrounding modern medicine and even traditional medicine – especially in India. There are many interesting data points for both these medicines, for example – people have preconceived notions about insulin – and it plays an important role in the sustenance of a diabetic patient.

“A platform like Locobuzz analyses these misconceptions and provides powerful insights that help create content to bust those myths. We also identify influential people who are able to drive conversations around key topics and enable brands to partner with them to further promote awareness that can eventually save lives. Currently, we are exploring the prospect of working with large vaccine distributors to understand myths around covid vaccinations,” informs Nitin Agarwal, CTO and co-founder of Locobuzz Solutions.
