Voice tech, health cloud and next generation mobility solutions are being positioned to propel efficiency into Indian healthcare services. The efforts by the digital tech companies will ensure digital transformation of hospitals across the country and enable patients to access medical care via reliable and secure networks.

For instance, there are SaaS-based digital healthcare platform to provide AI-enabled, cloud-based, mobile-first solutions. These cover the entire spectrum of Advanced HIMS, EMR/EHR, LIMS, RIS/PACS, pharmacy, connected ambulance, advanced business intelligence, MIS, e-claim, telemedicine, inventory & SCM, queue management, counselling, optical store, and mobile apps that are designed to reduce operation costs, and increase revenues.

Stating that voice is the new mobile, Punit Soni, founder and CEO of Suki.ai sees that it will be the next big evolution to interact with tech. This would be much like how mobile transformed user interfaces in 2007.

“Voice will be especially transformational in healthcare, an industry that is generally served by cumbersome, unintuitive software.  Voice AI technology today is already assisting doctors to concentrate more on patient care and have a significant direct impact on the bottom line for hospitals. One of the main advantages of voice recognition for clinicians, such as doctors or nurses, is that they can take care of administrative tasks like clinical documentation, coding, or retrieving information from the electronic health record (EHR), by simply speaking.  These complex workflows are streamlined, so clinicians can spend more time on patient care,” he added.

For Indian healthcare systems to scale and support a billion plus population especially during the pandemic, we need widespread adoption of electronic health records (EHRs). India is an innovation hub for the global market and healthcare being a priority for the government currently, see the development of a slew of healthcare technology products and services using AI, ML, NLP etc and voice user interfaces will indeed be the next interface for the overall healthtech space, said Soni.

According to Nidhi Jain, founder & CEO, KareXpert, digital transformation of the healthcare infrastructure of India has actually come to life in the last six months.

The need of the hour is to ensure an ultra-secure health cloud and next generation mobility solution. Despite several challenges, we maintained a steady momentum of partnering with healthcare centers and automating their operations to deliver patient-centric care.

Owing to our tech-enabled services, we digitized the healthcare infrastructure in several Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to offset the ongoing challenges like Covid-19. Still, a lot needs to be done. , and we are confident that our ongoing successes will further fuel our efforts to digitize 10x hospitals in 2022 and beyond, making us an authentic IT partner for them, she noted.
