The country's drug regulator has granted emergency use authorisation for three vaccines for children in various age groups, according to reports.
According to agency reports, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has issued EUA to use of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin among children in the age of 6 to 12 years, and Zydus Cadila's ZycovD among children in the age of above 12 years for a two-dose regimen, said a report by news agency ANI.
It has also approved Corbevax, manufactured by Biological E Ltd for children between the ages of 5 to 12 years.
However, the Central drug regulator is yet to come out with an official release on the issuance of EUA for these drugs.
