Indian Cancer Society with Roche Pharma India unveisl Rise against Cancer, multilingual mobile app

Indian Cancer Society, in collaboration with Roche Pharma India, has introduced the ‘Rise against Cancer’ a multilingual mobile application offering rich content in audio-video format on oral, breast, cervical, and lung cancer curated by leading doctors from across the country.
 
The mobile application, available on both Android and iOS platforms will provide comprehensive information and support covering emotional, and informational needs of the patients and their families dealing with cancer. It will also facilitate patients and their families with knowledge sharing events.
 
‘Rise against Cancer’ offers a wide array of features and functionalities. Users can gain access to the latest, relevant information on all types of cancer, their causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment options. Connect and engage with a community of cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to share experiences, knowledge, and support. It is an extensive library of articles, videos, and resources to help users make informed decisions about their cancer journey.
 
It helps to have access to local and virtual events, support groups, and workshops to connect with others facing similar challenges. Further, it helps to stay informed with the latest news, breakthroughs, and research in the field of oncology.
 
The app will initially be available in English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, and Bengali, and is freely downloadable from the app store.
 
Indian Cancer Society has curated and produced all the content with support from more than 100 leading oncologists and will manage the app's operations. The technical application backbone of ‘Rise against Cancer’ has been developed with the support of Roche Pharma India. The core objective is to proliferate awareness about cancer, ensuring that conquering cancer becomes a matter of choice, not chance.
 
Jyotsna Govil, chairperson, Indian Cancer Society, Delhi, said, "We believe 'Rise against Cancer' will revolutionize how individuals and communities access vital information and support in the fight against cancer. This app represents a significant step forward in our collective battle against this pervasive disease."
