The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is organizing a capacity building programme on quality in pharma and export finance on September 26, 2023 in Hyderabad to educate small and medium scale manufactures on regulatory, cGMP, quality and safety norms.
The programme will also equip the participants with knowledge of export finance for the pre-shipment and post-shipment and foreign exchange management.
Dr A Ramkishan, deputy drugs controller, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), Hyderabad will talk about the subject of “Regulatory Expectations for Quality Compliance and Excipient Role in Pharmaceutical Formulations”.
Santhi Kumar Saladi, senior scientist I, Documentary Standards, United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) will shed light on the “Importance of Excipient Quality and Development for use in medicines: USP Progress on DEG/EG ID test in Excipient Monographs,” as one of the key highlights of the programme.
V B Kamalasan Reddy, director general, Drug Control Administration (DCA), Telangana will be the Guest of Honour.
The Programme will also feature a session on Complex Generics- Emerging Needs and Challenges. Dama Venugopal, VP, Dr Reddys Laboratories, Sangeetha G, VP – Formulation, Regulatory Affairs, Hetero Labs Ltd and Ravi Kumar Bellam: Senior Scientist, Eugia Pharma are the Panelists. The session will be moderated by Matruprasad, senior director, RPO, USP, South Asia Region.
“A session on Export Finance and Banking Rupee Trade and its Advancements - Opportunities and Challenges will be presented by a representative from Bank of Baroda. A session on Pre-Shipment and Post-Shipment Credit - Foreign Exchange Management will be presented by a representative from Bank of Baroda. Other sessions are on subjects like ECGC Schemes for Pharmaceutical Exports - Risk Coverage and Mitigation and EXIM Bank-Buyers Credit, Marketing and Export Advisory Services for Pharma Industry,” informed Udaya Bhaskar, director general (DG), Pharmexcil.
