ThingsMeet Solutions, a Pune-based healthcare tech startup, plans to raise US dollar two million from institutional investors to fund expansion on two dimensions-- breadth of services offered on its platform and markets served in India.

The start up had introduced in June 2016 Prescribez, a digital health platform that allows users to search and avail health services like doctors, path labs, pharmacies in an easy and affordable way. Its second healthcare app, PrescribezDoc launched in July 2016 provides doctors easy access to patient’s details and their health records anytime, anywhere making remote support a reality. Keeping in line with the rules by Indian government of e-prescription not being accepted, Prescribez has introduced ez.Scribe, a Bluetooth enabled pen leveraging Bluetooth technology to capture the prescription in digital format while the doctor is writing the physical copy for the patient. The prescription gets saved in doctor's mobile phones connected to the pen via Bluetooth and syncs with cloud server. This can be shared to multiple entities in healthcare world, doctors, patients, pharmacies, etc.

Health Tips, another feature of Prescribez provides users regular instruction and information on different health related topics.

“We are in talks with the institutional investors to raise the capital. The fund will be used in expanding our presence in two-three cities and scaling up our offerings. By April 2017, we will start operation in Mumbai followed by Hyderabad operation. We are exploring possibilities of starting operation in other international markets like Canada and South East Asia where healthcare market is similar to India,” said Neeraj Joshi, co-founder and CEO ThingsMeet Solutions.

We are planning to add diagnostic lab services soon along with medical store search, home medical equipment makers. In future, the focus will be on preventive and wellness services like screening for diseases, nutrition management and stress management, Joshi said.

The vision of company is to become a leading health information company. Aggregating health services- doctors, path labs, pharmacies, home healthcare service providers, home medical equipment makers is part of our endeavor towards the direction. The health data captured by our digital platform via health services can be used for analytics which helps doctors and patients improve healthcare, he pointed out.

In May 2016, ThingsMeet Solutions had raised seed funding of US$ 145,000 from angel investor Ankush Mehta.

Since its inception, Prescribez app has enrolled more than 700 doctors and 25 diagnostic labs in Pune. The platform has enrolled 2500 doctors across 25 specialties viz. gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy,Naturopathy, physiotherapy, speech therapy etc, 50 path labs, 30 pharmacies across the country over the last five months.

By March 2017 we will reach out to maximum number of doctors, path labs and pharmacies in Pune. By the end of 2017 we are planning to enroll 8,000 doctors, 250 diagnostic labs, 150 pharmacies on our platform in three cities-- Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad. Aryuveda, Homoeopathy, gynaecology, paediatrics, dentistry are the five specialties witnessing maximum consultations happening on our platform. Around 1200 patients log on the platform a day, he said.

Currently, our platform is in English but we are working to make it multilingual to ensure that maximum people benefit from the app. By mid 2017 the digital health platform will be available in Marathi followed by Hindi, Telugu, said CEO of ThingsMeet Solutions.

To expand enrollment of medical professionals on the digital health tool, we are considering a tie up with doctors' bodies such as IMA, Indian Academy of Pediatrics etc. Apart from physicians' associations, we are also planning to collaborate with pharmacists' bodies to strengthen presence of pharmacies on our network. Home healthcare service is another segment where we wish to scale up collaboration. So far we have tied up with four home healthcare service providers. Geriatric wellness foundation is one of them. The foundation offers healthcare service on mobile to senior citizens where they can book doctor’s appointment, maintain their medical records, get communications from doctors, receive regular health tips, get follow up alert SMS, reminder for appointments, search for specialty doctors/equipment/medical and do a lot more, he concluded.
