India has a lot of potential in drug development and requires more specialized technologies to deliver the future services in life science and healthcare, stated Sharath Chandra, co-founding director, Altem Technologies (P) Ltd.

Chandra added, “Bio-convergence is the future of healthcare and we want to improve the quality and the future of healthcare by accelerating life-science research with 3D bioprinting in the Indian market.”

Chandra said that India is on the verge of technology transformation and there will be pressing requirements for addressing the healthcare needs on priority and calls for accelerated research on the future of healthcare.

As per future market insights, the global 3D bioprinting market is expected to grow at a CAGR of at least 13% during the period 2020-2030. India is a vast and densely populated country.
