Significance of this procedure has increased in the past few years due to technological advancements in the field, which lead to improved clinic outcomes. The procedure is used in placement of stents, stone removal etc. for all age groups, and hence it is crucial to know the appropriate use of EUS, and how the complex procedure is to be performed. I’m thankful of the distinguished local and international faculties who could join in, in training the next generation of gastroenterologists”.
