Elder Pharma, Shahnaz Husain ink pact to launch 4 skin care product in 2006-07

Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Shahnaz Husain, herbal beauty specialist, have entered into an agreement to launch four skin care products during 2006-2007. Elder will undertake the manufacturing and marketing of the products, while the conception and composition will be done by Husain.
The four products to be launched comprise a fairness cream for men, an all purpose hair shampoo, an anti-ageing, anti-wrinkle cream and a whitening soap. Based on herbal ingredients without any chemicals, these products are targeted to fetch Elder a turnover of approximately Rs 50 crore during 2006-2007, states the Elder release.
Dr. Anuj Saxena, director, Elder Pharma, said, "We plan to cater to the growing needs of skin care and skin treatment and plan to offer a whole range of advanced products to the varied sub-segments in society."
"Elder's resources and our understanding of the Indian consumers enable to create and sell products that are the need of the hour," stated Husain.
'Fairone Fairness Cream' was launched jointly by Elder Pharmaceuticals and Shahnaz Husain. The cream is expected to achieve a turnover of Rs 25 crore in the first year of its launch.
