Chakravarthi AVPS, well known pharma and packaging entrepreneur from Hyderabad has been reappointed as global ambassador, world packaging organisation to mark as a testimony for his commitment to the industry. Chakravarthi is CEO and managing director of Ecobliss India, an Indo Dutch joint venture offering patient centric pharma solutions, contract manufacturing and sustainable packaging solutions as well. World packaging organisation, WPO is the apex body of global packaging with the packaging industry alone contributing more than One trillion USD, apart from being an integral part of every other industry. Headquartered in Austria, WPO currently operates in more than sixty-five countries. With a vision “Better quality of life through better packaging for more people” The World Packaging Organisation, established on September 6, 1968, in Tokyo, is a non-profit, non-governmental international federation comprising national packaging institutes, associations and other stakeholders interested in packaging. Its objectives include fostering the advancement of packaging technology, science, sustainability, and innovation; facilitating international trade; and promoting education and training in packaging. The WPO serves as a nexus for the global packaging community, engaging in activities such as compiling references, disseminating knowledge, hosting webinars and conferences, advancing education through meetings, and advocating for the packaging industry's growth and development worldwide. Notably, it hosts prestigious awards like the WorldStar Packaging Award to encourage global innovation and the World Star Student Awards to recognize and involve young talents in the field. Incidentally WPO has its first ever woman president for this term Luciana Pellegrino from Brazil who has announced Chakravarthi’s appointment. Chakravarthi AVPS is a die-hard lover and an evangelist of pharma and packaging, recognised and awarded as most influential leader in the segments. With a strong penchant and deep knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging, he is awarded PHARMA RATNA for his outstanding contribution to Brand India pharma promotion globally and appointed as senior vice president (national), Federation of Pharma Entrepreneurs (FOPE) in addition to being the chairman of FOPE Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (AP). He is also a member on board and Advisor of Confederation of Indian industry Telangana pharma & life sciences. Further he is honorary advisor for the apex body Pharmaceuticals Exports Promotion Council, Government of India. He is chairman of INBA, an Indo Netherlands business association for Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. He is also chairman of International trade and business relations at Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Telangana province. He has been a member of the governing council and was chairman of the golden jubilee committee of Indian Institute of Packaging. He has been instrumental in setting up and developing Indian Institute of Packaging, Hyderabad (IIP) Hyderabad centre and bringing post-graduation in packaging courses. Currently contributing as Jury/chief jury for various international competitions and award programmes. Delivered keynote addresses, chaired and mentored various conclaves and programmes in packaging, pharma, food & landscapes in more than 25 countries.
