Axio Biosolutions collaborated with other Indian defence companies who came as part of the PHDCCI delegation (PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry) to discuss mutual business opportunities. This took place at the recently concluded International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2023 held at Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The event showcased the latest technologies across land, sea, and air sectors of defence, making it the largest platform for government departments, businesses, and armed forces to witness the latest advancements in the industry.

The Bengaluru based company was the lone med-tech participant and showcased it’s Made-in-India chitosan-based products- Axiostat and MaxioCel, which are used for bleeding control in battlefield conditions. The company demonstrated its bleeding control solutions such as the Military Z-Fold gauze and launched the Axiostat Suraksha Kavach (ASK) kit for battlefield injuries. The ASK kit is an intricately designed and assembled first aid kit that provides bleeding control solutions for aircrafts, submarines, naval ships, and other armoured vehicles, which usually lack these devices.

Axio Biosolutions' flagship product, Axiostat Military haemostats, is 100% chitosan-based and is designed to be used in battlefield conditions as it comes in a rugged metal pouch and camouflaged packing. It is currently being used by more than 300 battalions of Indian armed forces and is the haemostat of choice for special forces, paramilitary forces, and armies across Europe and Asia.

Trauma care is an integral part of any fighting force, and in India, it is still at a nascent stage. Axio Biosolutions aims to boost the services given to fighters, especially in the defence ecosystem. Even across the globe, there are hardly any core services or healthcare ecosystems to streamline and manage defence injury cases effectively.

The event was attended by thousands of local and international manufacturers and contractors who serve military forces, making it a grand success with over 1,350 exhibitors, 1.3 lakh visitors, and 65 countries’ delegates.

Yashas Chandra, assistant vice president, Axio Biosolutions, said, "IDEX 2023 showcased the synergy between advanced technologies in applied medical sciences and the military. As a MedTech company, we were thrilled to present our life-saving bleeding control solutions and connect with our military customers and business partners in the MENA region. Launching our latest Axiostat Z Fold and ASK bleeding control solutions at IDEX 2023 garnered attention as this is highly needed due to the current ongoing humanitarian crisis in Europe.’
