Business delegation from Nigeria to meet Indian pharma manufacturers, exporters for collaborations

Business delegation of pharmaceuticals from Nigeria will be meeting Indian manufacturers and exporters in the respective areas for possible joint ventures or collaborations in New Delhi between September 5 and 10, 2023.

The Nigeria-India Presidential Roundtable and Conference on September 6 will serve as one of the platforms for business discussions.

The pharmaceutical business delegation comprise of the representatives and companies like Dr Fidaelis Ayeba, Fidson Healthcare Plc, Dr Stella Okoli, Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, Pharmacist Seun Omobo, EKO Pharmacy Limited, Patrick Ajah, May & Baker Nigeria Plc, Bayo Odugbemi, Mc Olivia Limited and Dr Monica Eimunjeze, Dedoo Bio Plus Pharmacare Ltd.

Pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturers, both excipients and active ingredients, companies and or organizations involved in manufacture of agro based excipients and herbal bioactives, companies and organizations involved in advancing and promoting wellness and self-care, organizations involved in capacity strengthening and development for the pharmaceutical sector, Vaccine manufacturers, manufacturers of radiopharmaceuticals and WHO approved contract research organizations (CROs) will benefit by meeting with this business delegation, which will also have one to one business meetings.

“Nigerian is an important trading partner of India in the African region. The pharma business delegation from Nigeria is on a visit to New Delhi on the sidelines of G20 Summit. Member exporters manufacturing the above products/services are requested to take advantage of this opportunity and register their participation using the google form available online,” informed Uday Bhaskar, director general, Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil).

Africa offers great potential for Indian pharmaceutical products. It is one of the major importers of Indian generic medicines with an approximately USD 12 billion generic market and accounts for 38.25% of India's generic medicine share.
