Apollo Clinic, has set a new benchmark by achieving NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) recertification for Allopathic Clinic Standard. Its centre in Koramangala, Bengaluru became the 1st clinic in Karnataka to receive this recognition.

This is the second NABH accreditation received by Apollo Clinic nationwide, following the first recognition for their Anna Nagar Centre in Chennai. The NABH accreditation is awarded after a rigorous assessment of healthcare facilities, evaluating various aspects such as patient care, infrastructure, and operational procedures. The certification is a mark of clinical excellence, demonstrating high standards in quality, accountability, transparency, and patient outcomes. With this Apollo Clinic will continue to demonstrate its commitment to quality healthcare, stated the communication note.

Speaking on the achievement, Gaurav Loria, head - quality, Apollo Health and Lifestyle said, “This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to provide the highest quality healthcare services to our patients. NABH accreditation is a rigorous process that requires adherence to stringent standards of patient safety, quality of care, and clinical outcomes. Achieving this accreditation demonstrates our dedication to continuous improvement and our pursuit of excellence in all aspects of our operations.”

In February 2024, the Koramangala clinic successfully completed its NABH renewal assessment as part of the 2nd cycle accreditation, securing re-accreditation under the Allopathic Clinic Standards, Edition-1.

Beyond maintaining NABH accreditation, Apollo Clinics are committed to continuous quality improvement and patient safety through several key initiatives, including Quality for Excellence (Q4E) programme, routine safety and facility audits and implementation and monitoring of strong infection prevention & control and medication safety protocols, stated the communication note.

Some of the other key initiatives taken up by the clinic that led to the qualification included iQMS (Innovative Queue Management Systems) implemented for process streamlining & visibility for the patients, OTP-based online feedback collection from patients to ensure authenticity and confidentiality, Prohealth programme (AI-based system) and Home Collection Sample services, stated the communication.
