Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Adoption: The facility utilizes green energy sources through a mix of on-site and off-site initiatives.
Water Conservation Measures: Advanced water efficiency strategies have reduced the facility’s reliance on external sources, conserving a critical natural resource.
Sustainable Waste Management: Adhering to the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose, the Pune facility achieves near-zero waste to landfill, aligning with LEED’s global sustainability standards.
Healthy Workspaces: The facility’s design and operational practices ensure superior indoor air quality, creating a healthy and comfortable environment for its occupants.
These comprehensive efforts reflect Lupin’s forward-looking approach to sustainability, showcasing its leadership in embedding environmentally conscious practices efficiently into its operations.
The US Green Building Council is a non-profit trade organization that promotes sustainability in how buildings are designed, built and operated. The LEED certification programme was developed to provide property owners and operators with strategies for improving the performance of buildings through energy savings, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, stewardship of resources and other measures. By using less energy, LEED-certified buildings save money, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to a healthier environment for residents, workers and the larger community.
Green Building Certification Inc. is a premier organization for independently recognizing excellence in green building industry performance and practice globally, through third-party verification services for certification and credentialing. GBCI was founded in January 2008 with the support of the US.
