Pharmexcil to host seminar on market access issues for pharmaceutical

The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is set to host a crucial seminar on “Market Access Issues for Export of Pharmaceutical Products & Implication on MSMEs - Post Budget Announcement” on February 21, 2025 in Mumbai. The seminar will serve as a key platform for industry stakeholders to discuss pressing challenges and opportunities in pharmaceutical exports following the recent Union Budget announcement.

The event will feature high-profile discussions on tariff and non-tariff barriers, regulatory concerns, and policy developments affecting the pharmaceutical sector. Experts from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Customs, GST authorities, and Central and State Drug Regulatory bodies will address the gathering, offering insights on evolving regulations and compliance frameworks.

Pharmexcil, the premier body responsible for promoting pharmaceutical exports from India, has been instrumental in addressing trade-related concerns and facilitating global market access for Indian pharmaceutical companies. Highlighting the council’s proactive role, Raja Bhanu K, director general of Pharmexcil, stated, “The pharmaceutical sector is a cornerstone of India’s global trade, and ensuring seamless export mechanisms is crucial for its growth. This seminar aims to equip exporters, especially MSMEs, with knowledge on regulatory changes and market access strategies post-budget.
