The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) has officially launched a continuous application process for its Three-Day Assessors’ Training Programme, aimed at building a qualified pool of assessors for Entry Level Hospitals as per the NABH 1st Edition Standards.
This intensive training programme is designed to equip selected healthcare professionals with the skills necessary to evaluate hospitals on the parameters of quality, safety, and patient-centric care. The course is structured around a blend of classroom sessions, practical exercises, and a final written assessment. Successful candidates may be empanelled as official NABH assessors.
“We are inviting dedicated healthcare professionals with a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to continuous learning. Our goal is to build a competent and diverse pool of assessors who will help strengthen India’s healthcare delivery through standardization and quality certification,” said Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO of NABH.
Candidates must meet the following prerequisites in terms of educational qualification like an MBBS with post-graduation in clinical subjects (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' experience (higher clinical qualifications preferred), or MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management or Hospital Administration with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
He/she must be currently employed in a NABH Accredited/Certified Hospital or a Government Hospital continuously for the last 3 years and be formally nominated by the head of the organization.
Independent consultants and third-party quality auditors are not eligible. Applicants who have prior training through NABH’s Programme on Implementation (POI) for Entry Level Standards or 5th/6th Edition Standards will be given preference.
Ideal candidates should demonstrate In-depth knowledge of NABH standards, strong ethics and impartiality, analytical and communication skills, professional conduct and confidentiality, organizational ability and team collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving ability, and proficiency in report writing.
As per course details, the mode of training is in-person, full attendance required over 3 consecutive days with a Fee of Rs. 15,000 + 18% GST (which includes course material). Application can be made through NABH portal at http://portal.nabh.co/AssessorTrainingELH.aspx. Seats are limited to approximately 50 participants per batch.
Shortlisted applicants will undergo interviews, and only selected candidates will be asked to pay the course fee. NABH will maintain a rolling list of applicants for future training opportunities.
