 The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has notified the retail prices of 71 formulations as per the provisions to set prices of new drugs under the Drugs Prices Control Order (DPCO), 2013.
This includes notification of retail price for anti-cancer drug trastuzumab for Injection - each lyophilized vial containing trastuzumab (In House) (375 mg), a, a trehalose dihydrate Ph. Eur. (340.91mg), L-Histidine HCL monohydrate Ph. Eur. (8.44 mg), L-Histidine Ph. Eur. (5.45 mg), polysorbate 20 IP (1.53 mg) from Reliance Life Sciences at Rs 11,966.64 per vial, and antibacterial fixed dose combination (FDC) of ceftriaxone 2000 mg, disodium edetate 74 mg and sulbactam 1000 mg powder for solution for Infusion marketed by Tyykem Pvt Ltd at Rs. 1,036.6 per vial.
Price of a combipack of ceftriaxone, disodium edetate and sulbactam powder for solution for Infusion 3 gm, from Blue Cross Laboratories has been fixed at Rs. 626 per vial, a combination of ceftriaxone 1000 mg, disodium edetate 37 mg and sulbactam 500 mg powder for solution for Infusion from Tyykem at Rs. 515.57 per vial, and ceftriaxone, disodium edetate and sulbactam powder for solution for infusion 1.5gm from Blue Cross Laboratories at Rs. 447 per vial.
A combikit of clarithromycin tablets, esomeprazole tablets and amoxicillin tablets containing clarithromycin IP2 tablets containing clarithromycin IP 500 mg, esomeprazole tablets IP 2 tablets with each enteric coated tablet containing esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate IP equivalent to esomeprazole 40 mg, and amoxicillin USP 2 tablets with each film coated tablet containing amoxycillin trihydrate IP equivalent to amoxicillin 1000 mg from Torrent Pharmaceuticals at Rs 162.52 per kit.
The price regulator also notified retail price of 25 anti-diabetes formulations with empagliflozin as a combination, apart from several other antidiabetic formulations containing sitagliptin as a component.
It has deferred fixing the price of diclofenac sodium 75 mg injection marketed by Mankind Prime Labs, in order to re-examine the data related to the product. Retail price of Ringer lactate (non-glass with special features) dual port cap from Cartel Lifescience was approved at a price of Rs. 64.29 per pack excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Similarly, prices of six other IV formulations including sodium chloride, dextrose injection and dextrose 5% + sodium chloride 0.99% injection were fixed and notified by the NPPA after its latest meeting held on June 26, 2025.
