The Cosmetics Division of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has cancelled the registration certificate of NKG Advisory Business and Consulting Services to sell the cosmetic products of Spanish cosmetics maker Proteos Biotech, based on the former's request.
The decision follows an intimation by NKG Advisory Business, the Indian agent of the Proteos Biotech brand, that the latter has decided to discontinue the registration certificate due to business and administrative reasons. The company will not be importing cosmetic products registered under the particular registration certificate, it added.
NKG advisory is holding an import registration certificate dated December 3, 2022 valid up to December 1, 2027 for the propose of import of cosmetics registered by Proteos Biotech, in India.
Proteos Biotech, a biotechnology company founded in April 2010, manufactures sterile and non-sterile cosmetics and medical devices, and offers innovative solution to treat multiple skin conditions to improve the lives of patients around the world.
The company's brand pbserum is claimed to be a leading brand in recombinant enzymes, with presence in more than 50 countries. "Its portfolio includes 5 product lines designed to treat various indications in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, covering a wide range of therapeutic needs," according to the company website.
It is also into contract manufacturing of sterile cosmetics, with its design and manufacturing services offering design, development, manufacturing, packaging and final conditioning of cosmetics products.
