APACMed MedTech Forum to be held first time in India on September 16 & 17 in New Delhi

The APACMed MedTech Forum (MTF), a major gathering of MedTech leaders in Asia’s most influential gathering of MedTech leaders in the region organised by the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed), will be held in India for the first time on September 16 & 17 in New Delhi. APACMed represents leading medical device companies in more than 10 countries in the Asia Pacific region.

MTF 2025, the 11th edition of the event, is themed “Swastha Bharat – A Healthier India, Together,” with an aim to position India as a global hub for MedTech innovation, manufacturing, and investment. The forum is designed to offer a unique platform for high-level discussions and policy dialogues on key themes such as enhancing India’s global MedTech competitiveness and improving healthcare access.

This is the first time the Forum is held outside Singapore, and the organisers said that this is a defining milestone that affirms the country’s emerging role as a critical engine for healthcare innovation, advancing regulatory excellence and global market access in Asia Pacific.

Piyush Goyal, commerce and industry minister of India, Amit Agarwal, Secretary, Department Of Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Rajiv Bahl secretary, Department of Health Research & DG, ICMR, B. V. R. Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog, Dr. Vinod Kumar Paul, Member, NITI Aayog, and Nivruti Rai, managing director & CEO, Invest India, among others will be participating in the Forum. They will be joined by a distinguished lineup of global, regional and Indian MedTech leaders, including global CEO’s Tim Schmid, executive vice president and worldwide chairman-MedTech, Johnson & Johnson, Kevin Lobo, Chair & CEO, Stryker, Gary S Guthart, executive chair, Intuitive Surgical Board of Directors, Intuitive, Katarzyna Mazur-Hofsäß CEO, Care Enablement & Member of Management Board, Fresenius Medical Care, Massimiliano Colella ceo, chairman and Board Director, CMR Surgical alongside industry pioneers, and innovators from across the world.

The two-day conference will focus on the themes of: Health Resilience, Innovation, and Patient Care. The broader discourse will incorporate cross-border knowledge sharing, global best practices, and benchmarking to position India as a leader in med-tech innovation. Additionally, a day prior to the conference, a Regulators Forum featuring regulators from across the Asia Pacific region, including India will be held in Delhi.

The MedTech Forum would be a platform for policymakers and regulators from India and the Asia Pacific region to come together and strengthen the regulatory expertise. There would also be expert sessions on key topics, including regulatory issues, pricing, legal matters, ethics and compliance, AI, and health data, among others, said the organisers.
