The office of the returning officer (RO) for the election of the Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy Council (APPC) has issued an official notice, dated November 2, 2025, detailing the schedule for the election of six members to the council.
This election is being held pursuant to the provision of Rule 3(2) of the Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy Council Rules, 1955. Electorates whose names are included in the electoral roll, which is publicly displayed on the website www.appharmacycouncil.gov.in, are invited to participate in the democratic process to select the new members.
The nomination process is set to commence on November 14, 2025. Aspiring candidates can submit their nominations starting from that date until November 18, 2025, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. The final day for submission will be November 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Notably, November 16, 2025, has been declared a public holiday and will be excluded from the nomination schedule. Scrutiny of all submitted nominations will take place on November 19, 2025, after 12:00 noon, followed immediately by the deadline for withdrawal of nominations at 12:00 noon on the same day. The final list of approved nominations will be published on November 19, 2025, after the scrutiny process is complete.
Following the initial preparatory stages, the election will move to the voting phase. Dispatch of voting papers under Rule 7(4) is scheduled for December 11, 2025. Electors will have until December 24, 2025, at 5:00 pm to submit their votes. The entire election process will culminate with the scrutiny and counting of votes, which is scheduled to take place on December 27, 2025.
Forms for the nomination papers will be available for collection from the office of the Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy Council from November 10, 2025, to November 19, 2025, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, excluding the public holiday on November 16.
K. Dinesh Kumar, returning officer for the AP Pharmacy Council Elections and director of Ayush, government of AP, emphasized that every nomination paper must adhere strictly to Proforma B of the AP Pharmacy Council Rules, 1955. He also noted that any nomination paper that fails to comply with the provisions of Part I of the AP Pharmacy Council Rules, 1955, shall be rejected by the RO, ensuring a fair and legally compliant election process.
