Cold Chain Community Conference 2025, which concluded in Ahmedabad recently, discussed building a skilled, compliant and future-ready cold chain ecosystem in India. The Conference was organised by the National Accreditation Body for Cold Chain Management (NAB-CCM) with support from the Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA), Gujarat and the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA). The event also served as a national platform to discuss the future of temperature-controlled supply chains in India. With its rapidly growing community, industry-focused courses and national-level initiatives, NAB-CCM has emerged as a trusted platform for knowledge, accreditation and collaboration across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and logistics. The organisation’s mission to elevate India’s cold chain standards through education, capacity building and industry partnerships was once again reflected in the grand success of the Cold Chain Community Conference 2025. Organised in Ahmedabad at the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), the conference brought together regulators, manufacturers, technologists, innovators, service providers and cold chain professionals from across the country. The day began with an inaugural session of distinguished dignitaries. H L Ravat, Gujarat FDCA Licensing and Controlling Authority and Viranchi Shah, National Spokesperson, IDMA, graced the event as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. The lamp lighting ceremony was followed by a welcome address by Avinash Verma (founder, NAB-CCM) and Sarvesh Chaubey (co-founder, NAB-CCM), who emphasized the need for stronger collaboration, compliance and competency development across the cold chain sector. The inaugural speeches by H L Ravat, Viranchi Shah and Sanchit Chaturvedi set the tone for the day with both leaders highlighting the increasing importance of robust cold chain systems in ensuring product quality, patient safety and global competitiveness. The conference featured three high-impact panel discussions. Panel 1 focused on “Balancing Compliance, Cost and Climate: The Triple Challenge of Cold Chain Packaging,” where experts shared practical insights on designing packaging that meets regulatory expectations while staying economically viable. Panel 2, titled “Future-Ready Cold Chain Logistics,” explored warehousing innovations, distribution efficiency and end-to-end visibility. Panel 3 highlighted the growing role of IoT and smart sensors in achieving a zero-excursion cold chain. Alongside the panel sessions, the conference hosted four business presentations, offering delegates a look into emerging technologies, monitoring systems, packaging solutions and digital tools that are reshaping the industry. Attendees participated in vibrant discussions, exchanged ideas and explored opportunities for collaboration. A special felicitation ceremony honoured speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, media partners, advisory members and the NAB-CCM team for their continuous support and contribution to the industry. The conference concluded with a Vote of Thanks by NAB-CCM’s founders, followed by a high-tea networking session that encouraged continued dialogue and industry bonding.
