The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is inviting ICMR institutes to submit expression of interest (EOI) for undertaking high end collaborative inter disciplinary research under the new Center for Collaborative Research (ICMR-CCR) Scheme.
Under the ICMR-CCR Scheme, the ICMR Institutes will identify prospective collaborating institutes having diverse research expertise which can synergistically add significant values to the existing research environments.
In order to fulfil the eligibility criteria under this Scheme, ICMR institutes needs to submit EOI and identify at maximum, three established collaborative institutes, who can contribute significantly to the scientific advancement of the ICMR Institute for 5 years.
The team of Investigators led and coordinated by the directors of their respective Institutes can collaborate with various registered organizations. These registered institutes include medical institutes, research institutes, universities, colleges, recognized research and development laboratories, government and semi-government organizations and non-governmental organizations, which have demonstrated strength and expertise in relevant domains.
Level of funding is upto five crore for a period of 5 years.
As per the steps for selection, all the EOI received will be reviewed by the expert committee. Full proposals will only be invited for shortlisted EOIs. Last date of submission of the proposals on the submission portal (https://i-epms.icmr.org.in/) is January 15, 2026. After completing mandatory section of Personal Details under Principal Investigator (PI)/Fellow Profile one has to go to proposal submission and then click on ‘EOI’. Following this, then click on ‘Add new EoI proposal’ on top right in blue box and continue filling the form step by step.
Under ICMR-CCR Scheme, following details need to be provided in the EOI format like name of ICMR institute, the area of research, a description of what the Institute wants to work, strengths of the Institute team, what strengths is the Institute looking for in the Collaborative Centre for joint Research, how the CCR is going to complement the objectives of the Institutes, translational value of the collaboration and expected deliverables in 5 years.
