CLIRNET enters veterinary education space with VetNet as India’s animal healthcare market expands

CLIRNET has launched VetNet, a digital Continuing Veterinary Education (CVE) platform that has already onboarded over 25,000 veterinarians nationwide within a short span of its rollout.

India’s veterinary professionals play a critical role in food security, livestock productivity, companion animal care, and public health. However, structured and accessible continuing education opportunities have traditionally been concentrated in select urban centres, limiting access for practitioners in Tier 2, Tier 3, and rural regions.

VetNet aims to bridge this gap by offering free access to live, expert-led clinical sessions, curated academic resources, and structured professional development programs. Since its launch, the platform has conducted over 100 live educational sessions and provides access to more than 5,000 clinical and academic resources, covering companion animal practice, livestock health, diagnostics, surgery, and preventive medicine.

The platform connects general practitioners, specialists, academicians, and veterinary students with senior national and international experts. Sessions have featured distinguished speakers including Dr. Samit Kumar Nandi (India), Dr. Gurjot Singh (India), Dr. Charly Pignon (France), and Dr. Laurent Locquet (UK), focusing on practical clinical insights, updated treatment protocols, and emerging research relevant to real-world veterinary practice.

“India’s veterinary community is central to strengthening animal healthcare standards and supporting the broader public health ecosystem. Yet, access to structured continuing education remains fragmented across geographies. VetNet is designed to democratize specialist-led clinical learning, ensuring that veterinarians across regions have access to high-quality, practice-oriented education at scale,” said Saurav Kasera, co-founder and CEO, CLIRNET and DocTube.

The initiative is further strengthened through its association with the Veterinary Association of India (VAI), enabling wider access to accredited CVE programmes and fostering knowledge exchange within the professional community. The collaboration integrates VetNet’s digital ‘learning infrastructure with VAI’s national network, supporting skill development aligned with evolving animal healthcare needs.

Industry observers note that as India’s animal healthcare and pet care markets continue to expand, continuous professional upskilling will be essential to maintaining clinical standards, improving livestock productivity, and enhancing preventive care. Digital platforms are increasingly emerging as scalable solutions to address these structural learning gaps.
