MrMed, an online pharmacy and direct-to-patient platform, has set up a new storage and distribution hub in Central Bengaluru. This is an 850 sq ft facility strategically located for rapid dispatch across the city, including areas that have historically seen limited access to specialty medicines.
The company said that it complements its already existing 2,000+ sq ft Bengaluru office, which functions as a central command centre overseeing operations not just for the city hub but coordinating fulfilment, supply, and service workflows across the country. It combines the scale of its digital platform with the reliability of on-ground infrastructure.
The development is complemented by sourcing partnerships with local distributors and manufacturers, technology-driven improvements across order processing, billing, and dispatch, and last-mile delivery capabilities. This has enabled MrMed to offer 24-hour delivery across approximately 110 pincodes (560001 to 562162), covering the majority of its catalogue — including oncology drugs, immunosuppressants, and GLP-1 therapies such as semaglutide and tirzepatide, said he company note.
"Bengaluru is one of our largest target markets which makes it the natural starting point for this level of investment. The operational challenge was never just speed, it was ensuring consistency across the entire order lifecycle, from real-time availability to last-mile delivery, at scale. What we've built here is a model we intend to replicate city by city, said Devashish Singh, co-founder & CEO, MrMed.
The company is now working to roll out this model in Delhi and Chennai, followed by Guwahati, Mumbai and Hyderabad. MrMed expects to achieve complete geographic coverage within Bengaluru over the next 1-2 months.
