Prathima Group, a leading healthcare provider is planning to launch a chain of hospitals across all the districts and tier-2 cities of Telagnana and Andhra Pradesh states, for which the groups is investing more than Rs.350 crore in the coming 2-3 years.
Prathima Hospitals presently has 1500 beds across 3 locations viz., Kachiguda, Kukatpally and Karimnagar across Telangana state. The group has already invested about Rs.200 crore on existing projects and is further planning to invest Rs.350 crore in the next few years ahead. “Our vision is to establish state of the art medical facilities in all the districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Initially we are planning to establish chain of hospitals with a bed strength of 50-100 each for which we are planning to invest more than Rs.350 crores in the coming days,” said Dr. Harini Boinpally, director of Prathima Hospitals.
The hospital group is considering actively building a strong partnership with doctors and has plans to have 30 per cent stake for the doctors.
“Our aim is to go a long way by exploring the healthcare opportunities in the tier-2 cities and rural towns where there is a dearth of quality healthcare facilities available. By setting up hospital chain in rural towns it will ensure patients from these cities do not have to travel, all the way to Hyderabad to avail treatments,” added Harini.
To begin with, the Prathima group is investing Rs.100 crore for setting up a Cancer Institute at Warangal district in Telangana.
Overall in the next 2-3 year the Prathima Group of Hospitals is set to launch a chain of hospitals in tier-2 towns and cities both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and moving ahead to provide quality and affordable healthcare to the rural population.
