HOSMAC, Asia’s leading Hospital Planning, Design and Management Consultancy, has successfully enabled the design and execution of the first phase of the 1,200-bed Tapanbhai Patel Memorial Hospital in Shirpur, marking a significant step forward for healthcare access in North Maharashtra. The project was inaugurated by Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis, and is among the largest upcoming healthcare developments in the region. Developed under Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), the hospital reflects a strong vision to bring advanced and accessible care closer to underserved communities. Spread across 7 lakh sq. ft., this 1,200-bed facility is designed to reduce dependence on metro cities for specialised treatment. Once fully operational, it will serve not only Shirpur but also nearby regions such as Indore and Nashik, improving access to quality healthcare across geographies. HOSMAC played a central role in the project, acting as the principal healthcare planning and project management partner. The firm led the project from concept to completion, covering key areas such as Schematic Space Planning, MEP Design, Medical Equipment Planning and Procurement Support, and Project Management Consulting. Through close coordination with all stakeholders, HOSMAC ensured smooth execution across civil works, interiors, and building systems, while maintaining timelines, quality standards, and operational readiness. Dr Vivek Desai, founder and managing director, HOSMAC said, “This project reflects our commitment to building healthcare infrastructure that improves access and supports communities at scale. The Shirpur facility shows how the right planning and execution can bring high-quality care closer to where it is needed most.” The hospital initiative has been driven by the leadership of. Amrish Patel, president of SVKM and former Education Minister of Maharashtra, along with Bhupesh Patel, whose vision has been key to bringing this project to life. |
