The Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Karnataka State Branch (IPA-KSB) in support with IPA, BG Nagara Local Branch & Adichunchanagiri University is holding a one-day conference on Saturday June 6. The event is held at the BGS College of Engineering & Technology, Mahalaxmi Layout, Bengaluru. The theme of theme is Pharmacy Futures: Navigating Degrees, Innovation & Global Opportunities.
The key objective of the conference is to provide valuable guidance to B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Pharm-D students on emerging career pathways, higher education opportunities, innovation in pharmaceutical sciences, and global prospects in the healthcare sector. Experts from academia and industry will address participants and share insights on the evolving role of pharmacy professionals. Going by the current scenario where digital technology is dominating the scene, there is a need to mould candidates in next-gen pharmacy skills, science & international opportunities. From a qualified fresh candidate perspective, there is a need to explore the future of pharmacy in manufacture, research and marketing.
The event features sessions on the global and Indian pharmaceutical industry, biologics, artificial intelligence in drug discovery, regulatory science, entrepreneurship, pharma start-ups, branding, marketing, and career development. Eminent speakers including industry leaders, governance experts, and personal growth strategists will discuss the future of pharmacy education and employment, while also emphasizing the importance of emotional intelligence, resilience, communication, leadership, and global competencies, said Prof B Ramesh, secretary, IPA-Karnataka State Branch & Dean, Academics & Accreditation, Adichunchanagiri University.
The conference topics are highly relevant as the pharmaceutical sector is rapidly evolving with advancements in AI, digital healthcare, biologics, and international regulatory standards. Sessions on entrepreneurship and innovation encourage students to explore start-ups, patents, and research-driven ventures beyond traditional pharmacy careers.
